Out of Place Symbols?

I took these photos in a temple in the Mekong Delta in Vietnam.

It was so weird to see a swastika behind a Buddha?? As Westerners we were so confused by this, but I learned that the swastika is actually a 3000 year old Buddhist symbol representing “The Seal on Buddha’s Heart.” Most artists today have chosen to eliminate the swastika as one of the 32 signs of a supreme being in Buddhism and historians agree that how such an auspicious and truly noble symbol came to represent such horrific tyrannical oppression and racial genocide is perhaps one of the greatest paradoxes of world history.
